Position Overview 

 

We are seeking a Tax Advisor to join our team and support Clients by providing accurate and timely tax preparation services. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of personal and corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax regulations while identifying opportunities to maximize tax savings for our clients.

 

As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with Clients to understand their unique financial situations and deliver tailored tax solutions. Your expertise will play a vital role in helping individuals and businesses meet their tax obligations while optimizing their financial outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

As a Tax Preparer, you will: 

  • Provide exceptional tax and accounting advice to Clients. 
  • Foster strong relationships with Clients.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of corporate and personal tax returns, including software applications and CRA requirements.

What you bring 

 

Education and Experience 

  • A degree or diploma in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with a tax preparation or accounting firm.  
  • Proficiency in tax preparation and accounting software such as Taxprep/IFirm, Xero, or Profile.
  • Experience preparing tax returns for farms and small businesses.  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  • Exceptional client service skills.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to consistently meet deadlines.  
  • Dedicated to providing financial support that empowers Clients. 
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to analyze unique scenarios and provide customized recommendations.
