FBC has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist to join our team, providing Value Added Services to our Members!   POSITION OVERVIEW As a key Member of the Business Service team, the Bookkeeping and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with Members and the team to deliver measurable value to our Members. You’ll give Members confidence that their employees are being paid accurately, have accurate and up-to-date books and meet their reporting compliance requirements.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: - Maintaining accurate books for the Members assigned to you, including posting journal entries and ensuring that accounts are accurately in balance - Processing all aspects of payroll including, but not limited to, ROE’s, T4’s, PIERS, and reconciling the CRA’s payroll accounts - Dealing directly with Service Canada regarding ROE’s - Accurately calculating source deductions - Collaborating and answering questions from Members and staff regarding payroll and Bookkeeping - Completing Member onboarding for new accounts   QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience - 2 or more years of experience in a Bookkeeping and Payroll position - Diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or Business or equivalent experience in accounting would be considered an asset   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proficiency using accounting and payroll software - Strong attention to detail to delivery high quality and accurate work - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - Proven time management skills, balancing competing priorities to deliver on time - Excellent customer service skills - Strong problem-solving skills - QBO (QuickBooks Online) experience is required - Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word and Excel   FBC PROVIDES: - Comprehensive training and development and a supportive environment to ensure success in your career - Job stability with FBC being a designated essential service - Medical, Dental, Life, and Disability benefits along with a Health Spending Account   APPLY TODAY!
